1. What Data We Collect

• Account data: Name, email address, and password when you sign up.
• Project data: Task lists, schedules, cost figures, and any other content you enter into the platform.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and session duration collected anonymously to improve the product.
• Payment data: Billing is handled entirely by Paddle.com. We do not store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the HandoverIQ service
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve the product based on anonymised usage patterns
• We do not sell your data to any third party, ever.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (EU West Ireland region). All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using TLS. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase database and authentication (GDPR compliant)
• Paddle.com payment processing and billing (PCI DSS compliant)
• Anthropic (Claude) AI analysis features. Project context is sent to Claude's API for analysis. No data is retained by Anthropic for training.
• Netlify website hosting

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or UAE, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your project data at any time
• Object to or restrict processing of your data

6. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

8. Children

HandoverIQ is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
